Troodon formosus by Taena-Doman Troodon formosus by Taena-Doman
Troodon formosus had one of the largest brain case relative to its body mass, which is a indication for its intelligence.
Troodon had large eyes and perhaps was able to hunt at night.
In this picture a mother teaches her offspring to hunt and to find the best places for food.
Late Cretaceous, 75 - 70 million years ago, around 2,5 meters long.

Painter Classic, Picture Publisher, mouse.

Thank you very much for all comments and :+fav:! I'm really happy about the feedback!

I'd like to use this image for our book about dinosaurs. Could you please kindly guide me how to proceed it? Or, could you let me know your direct email address?

Oh, thank you, I'm much appreciated.:)
You can use my image in your book, when you give me credits and make a link to my page here on Devianart. And if the book is non commercial, because I earn no money with my images.

This image of Troodon is fully digitally painted and made in Picture Publisher and Painter Classic. First I did a line art, than scanned it on the computer and start painting.
For the plumage of the young Troodons I used Emu chickens as reference, the texture of the adult is fantasy.

Very nice fur colours , but how do you actually make the water in your drawings:?

For the water I use a very old version of Picture Publisher (97). I painted the background with Painter Classic and then mirrored it. Picture Publisher has a special tool, where you can make such effects. But it needs still post working, so that it does not look so artificial.
